Terms of Service.

These terms are an agreement between you and Mainstay, LLC, and they cover the Mainstay website (mainstaykit.com) and the Mainstay membership app (app.mainstaykit.com). By creating an account or using either, you accept them.

Mainstay offers a free tier, a Pro Membership ($8.95 per month or $89 per year), and a one-time Lifetime membership ($199). Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Lifetime is a single payment with no recurring charge.

You can cancel anytime from Account → Manage billing in the app. Canceling stops future charges and keeps your access through the end of the period you already paid for. Prices may change for new billing periods; we will tell you before a change applies to you.

If something went wrong with a charge, write to support@mainstaykit.com and we will sort it out. Where the law gives you refund rights, those rights are not limited by these terms.

Mainstay provides general household-preparedness information and organization tools. It is not professional emergency, medical, legal, or safety advice, and it is not a substitute for instructions from emergency services. In an emergency, follow the guidance of local authorities. Verify anything critical against official sources such as FEMA, the National Weather Service, and the American Red Cross. You are responsible for the decisions you make for your household.

Your inventory, plans, and vault documents are yours. You give us only the permission we need to store and process them to run the service for you. We claim no other rights to them.

Keep your password secure and your account email current. You are responsible for activity on your account; contact support right away if you believe it has been compromised. Household members you invite act under your household's membership.

Don't abuse the service: no unlawful use, no attempts to break or probe its security, no scraping or reselling it, and no uploading content you have no right to store. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other households at risk.

We work to keep Mainstay accurate, available, and improving, but it is provided “as is” — data feeds (like weather alerts) can lag or err, and features may change as the product evolves. To the fullest extent the law allows, Mainstay, LLC's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

If we make a material change, we will post it here and note the new effective date; for significant changes we will email account holders first. Continuing to use Mainstay after a change takes effect means you accept it.
